Rene Marie Russo, an American actress and filmmaker who was a former supermodel is a film director. Alongside her stunning appearance, her steady success in the competitive film industry is testament to her abilities as an actor. She started her career as a model in the 1970s before becoming one of the top model actors. After completing her acting studies, Russo began her modeling career working in Los Angeles. Rose Namajunas ranks among the top UFC female fighters. Her journey began as an amateur fighter, competing in various regional events. Invicta Fighting Championships signed her on and later she joined Ultimate Fighting Championships. She has gained a lot of recognition since joining the UFC thanks to her on and off the octagon's successes. Namajunas' family is Lithuanian and she was born there on June 29th in 1992. Rose was a basketball player and kickeboxing when she was growing up. Invicta Fighting Championships was her first fight in professional. She was just 18 and had already won two bouts via submission. Dana White was impressed and brought Rose into the strawweight division of the UFC at 22 years of age in December of 2014. Her career has had both lows and highs and she's capable of coming out of her fights with a win. Rose took on Carla Esparza on April 15 in 2015 for the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose defeated Esparza by a technical knockout within less than three minutes of round One. Rose not only took home the title but she was also awarded Fighter Of The Night. Rose was also able to make MMA history by winning this fight as she became the first woman to challenge to win the title of champion at any organization of note. Namajunas was able to record many wins, including two wins over Joanna Jedrzejczyk that earned her Performance of the Night from UFC.
